Henry Waxman, D-Calif., charged that Cheney's office's had originally argued to the Archives that it did not have to comply with the order because it was notmaybe Tom The Dancing Bug is making fun of the cheney-hating left as well, but wow...cheney doesn't exactly invite warm fuzzies, but then he doesn't have any feelings anyway, not with that cyborg heart of his.

Hmmm
Transformers...Optimus says "my bad".
Jazz breakdances and acts like an extra from a rap video
Bumblebee pees on a federal agent.
but the effects were good. some nice robot fighting. a something-for-everyone-kindaflick.
and it made more money than Jesus.
from Michael Bay's blog:
"This is the biggest July 4th gross in history, beating SPIDERMAN 2 ($21,955,000 on 7/4/04) and the biggest Wednesday non-sequel of all time (beating THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST with $26,556,000 on Wednesday 2/25/04)."
and on a new subject...
Beastie Boys have a new instrumental album out. "The Gala Event" is a good track.
I'm not sure things were better when you were 12, more like 16.

Transformers today
The reviews have said the robots are great and the actors suck. This is exactly what I was expecting. My expectations are low, low, low. All I want is to see is transformers kicking some ass and blowing stuff up. With regard to the humans, bring some wine cause there's gonna be plenty of cheese. Having seen Michael Bay's previous works of art (sarcasm here), there's bound to be lots of cringe-worthy cliche dialogue. I'm not looking for Capital "A" art here, people, not looking for confirmation of man's inherent goodness, and I'm not looking for validation that everything's gonna be okay in the end. I want hot and heavy metal robot action.more that meets the eye later.
oh yeah, and big ups to R&R for lacing some of his past blogpost titles with TF references. I would have commented but it's really frustrating getting past your security.
