DARK KNIGHT/FRANK MILLER
I noticed a couple instances while watching the film, but thinking of it now, there are alot of references to Frank Miller's
The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Year One.
There's also a nice nod to a certain film we quote all the time, but I don't want to throw any spoilers, so go see it and you'll know what I mean.

This has to be the best batman movie ever. I'm not sure they can top this. Lots of action but lots to think about as well. I'd see it again.
The Joker is truly beyond fucked up. Heath Ledger disappeared into the role and did a great job.
Go see it.
