WILLFUL IGNORANCE

"I don't want my taxes going to the poor." or "It's the poor who benefit from all the taxes."

i feel fairly certain, without facts at hand, that the about statements are not completely true.
If someone could provide evidence to this till I investigate it myself, please feel to post a link.

I'm fairly certain that the first statement is unfalsafiable. The second statement is easily disprovable because it takes only one example to prove it is false. However, here are several tax-funded programs that benefit not just the poor:
1) public schools
2) federal food inspection
3) federal drug inspection
4) securities and exchange commission oversight of the securities market
5) consumer product safety commission
6) environmental protection agency
7) bridges and roads
8) federal aviation administration
9) centers for disease control
10) national institute for health
11) the court system
12) local police
13) local fire protection
14) federal law enforcement (FBI, DEA, etc.)
15) NASA
16) National Security
17) Department of Homeland Security
18) federal housing authority
19) etc.

And to follow up...

If the poor did benefit from all the taxes, is that really a bad thing?
