6)1 wolf, 1 chick come back. xx oo xo

I realize what I did wrong now. I assumed that the wolf traveling back and forth STAYED on the boat.

This is why I FAIL at word problems...my critical thinking skills aren't the sharpest.

In my defense, it was never stated that an animal could not stay on the boat the entire time.

In essence, I performed the Kobayashi Maru (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobayashi_Maru)the way I wanted to...I changed the variables so that I could win. ;-)

Yes, I made the same assumption. The rules don't state that the raft is not a third place to be besides the two sides.

It's also how your mind works. To figure it out, I used three quarters and three pennies to represent the problem. It's easier for me to see the problem rather than imagine it.

At least you tried! The rest of you suckas didn't!
